Emery learned the art of crafting quilts in rural Virginia in 1989. Over the years he has honed his skills in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Tennessee before settling in to Central Texas. A traditional quilt top contains hundreds and frequently thousands of sewn-together fabric pieces to create the desired quilt pattern and the finished quilt typically takes over 100 hours to hand stitch. After 25 years producing custom quilts for warm homes, Emery included Memory, otherwise known as T-Shirt, Quilts into what he offers due to their popularity. His Memory Quilts possess the same attention to detail, hand quilting and quality seen in his custom quilts.
